NewsLink brings international and local news, sports, financial and entertainment reviews direct to the seafarer. Additionally, the service provides a daily spotlight on relevant maritime safety issues.

The NewsLink service is supported and endorsed by important maritime bodies, including P&I Clubs, IMO, Nautical Institute, AMSA, BIMCO, INTERTANKO, ISF and MCA.

Welcome to NewsLink

NewsLink is the leading provider of news and information to seafarers. The news service allows crew to keep in touch with news from home and can help lift morale on board.

NewsLink editions are supplied in the local languages of seafarers and in English, the official maritime language. English-language newspapers serve the dual purpose of allowing crew to keep in touch with the latest developments back home whilst also enabling them to improve their command of the language.

Newspapers are produced in the UK, Philippines and Delhi by an experienced team of multi-lingual editors who understand the cultural characteristics and preferences of each news edition.

NewsLink was founded by George Hoyt in 1997 and was acquired by Headland Media in 2010, which has provided the SatNews service to crew since 1985. Both companies bring a wealth of experience and expertise to the latest generation of NewsLink services.

NewsLink continues to work closely with many leading shipping organisations for the welfare of seafarers.
